Intel 8th-gen Coffee Lake chips
Now Intel come with new core processor that is 8 generation
8 generation is the latest generation of this year. This generation makes your computer and laptop more fast and reliable to work.At a recent investors conference, Intel showed a slide detailing the roadmap for its Core processor range. The 6th and 7th-generation chips we know about - Skylake and Kaby Lake. However, the slide - titled Advancing Moore's Law on 14nm - stated that 8th-gen Core chips would launch in the second half of 2017. So the twist was that these would also be based on a 14nm process.
Purpose
- Intel has actually improved the process without changing the figure.
- Intel refers to Skylake as 14nm, Kaby Lake as 14nm+ and Coffee Lake at 14nm++.
Advantage
- Intel’s 8th Generation Core i7-8000 Series Chips To Be More Than 15% Faster Than 7th Generation Processors
- Coffee Lake will be used in conjunction with the 300-series chipset.
Performance
- 1)Coffee Lake is to consist of 15/28 Watt quad-core U-chips with GT3e or GT2 graphics.
- 2) 35-45 Watt H-series chips with GT3e and up to 6 cores.
- 3)The integrated graphics on these Coffee Lake chips allow support for DP 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 connectivity.
- 4)the Coffee Lake processors offer a 15 percent performance gain over Kaby Lake
- 5)can support DDR4-2400 MHz memory (native) in dual channel mode
Features
- 300 Series chipset
- USB 3.1 Gen 2 10Gbps support, 6 ports
- Thermal design power (TDP) up to 95 W (LGA 1151)
